I'm having the strangest problem.

When I log in as a user with view/editing privileges on some  pages, sometimes it work as it should, the control panel is shown and all is good. When I reload the page, sometimes the editing privileges are gone, the control panel is gone. If I reload once more, it might come back it might not. I've got some pages in the menu which is only shown for the logged in user, those items disappear aswell. Sometimes it takes 1 reload, sometimes it takes 10. I still se the "logout" link, so I'm apperantly logged in, but without the privileges.

Another problem which might be related is that when I set the view/edit permissions, sometimes it isn't set after I click apply, and I've to go back and do it once more for it to take effect. 

It's like DNN is only doing what I'm asking it to do every once in a while.

 

Tried it out with different computers and browsers. Running DNN Version 04.09.05 on Microsoft Windows NT 5.2.3790 / Microsoft-IIS/6.0 with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.4053.00 and .NET Framework 2.0.50727.3607.

 No. I'm running it on a dedicated server only running IIS and MS SQL a few floors down.

 The first place I would check is the DB.  I would open the tables up see what the permissions are set to.  If the permissions are correctly set in the DB, then I would try to replicate an instance when the permissions appear incorrect in the site.  After you have the site up with incorrect permissions recheck the DB.  If the data hasnt changed then its more then likely either a cache issue or an exception is being thrown somewhere in the system that is causing the page to stop working properly.  If the data is changing in the DB then you have some code, either in the page or a module on the page that is alerting the data and that needs to be addressed. 

Another thing to look at is if this is happening on the same page(s) or randomly.  If its always on the same page, its more then likely module code or module/page exception being thrown.  If its randomly its either cache or an exception/code in the skin or module on every page.
