 Can anyone tell me if this company is still in business. I have been trying to contact them but no response  from them or the folks at Snowcovered. I just want a question answered on one of their modules.

 My suggestion would be to run a whois report on the domain name: http://www.register.com/whois.rcmx .  That will give you any contact information that they made public when registering the site.  For this particular group, an actual phone number is included ;)  Best of luck.

 Tried this. Unfortunately the contact info is blocked. It almost seems this company/author is gone. I get no response to questions from Snowcovered or the company. Their website is still up, but as far as I can tell no one monitors it or answers questions.

Bummer.  I just bought some stuff from the guy about 6 months ago.  Dan was really responsive to support questions at the time.  Judging by recent reviews on snowcovered, it appears that other buyers are now having the same issue as you. 

It would be a shame if this guy bailed on his software without at least notifying customers or removing his products from the snowcovered marketplace.  That looks bad for Snowcovered and DotNetNuke as well.

I bought a module from Gumbosoft a couple of weeks ago. I have a question about the software, but I have yet to receive any type of response from the company. I'll not buy from them again.
