Hello Y MA,

the quickest way to retrieve a password from DNN is to have the user log out, then have them click on the forgot password link on the log in page. Once they input the required information they can select the send password link, which will then send them their password via the E-mail account attached to their site account.

If this doesn't work for you please reply with more detailed information regarding what it is you are trying to do, there are ways of retrieving decrypted passwords via the send password function in theframework core.

Hi,

I have developed a module. In this case users are using email account login details as their username and  password . In this module user need to login to the user account and grab some data from the email account to display. I have implemented it with using hard coded email account values and it is working now.  But I need to implement itf or each and every users who are login to the site. For this I have to pass the username and password of the user. So please advise me the best way to do this. Please help me..!

The best way to go about retrieving password information would be to create a stored procedure in your SQL database that queries the required information, and then to call that SPROC from you business logic layer to display on your presentation layer. Using this method will help protect your site against unwanted site attacks.

Mitchel Sellers has a great blog post that can get you started with the query. www.mitchelsellers.com/blogs/articlet...

Please let me know if this helps
