 Hi,

I have a DNN 5.x installation.  I see that in the Admin Dashboard under DB server, there is a report of the last DB backups made.  My backups seem to occur every day.  Can you please advise (1) where the backup and its frequency are configured and (2) where the backup files are stored.  I would like to change my frequency to weekly.

Many thanks,

Steve

IIRC -

The DB backups are not done by DNN, but the SQL server.

That part of the control panel is just reporting what SQL Server is telling DNN about when the backups have occurred.

[I don't know where/how in SQL to change the settings]

in quality hosting environments, database backups are frequently performed by the hosting provider. there is no need to turn off the daily backup - you will be happy about it, once there is an issue with the server hardware or sth like this. be aware, this includes site log as well.
