The scheduled task "SearchEngineScheduler" seems to be living its own life. We have configured it to run every 24th our, but anyway it seems to be starting much more often, and mostly it is returning with this message: "EXCEPTION: Thread was being aborted." It is also starting up 10 threads each time it is running. It seems that the job is stressing the db-server a lot. It peeks up to 100% in CPU, and the response of the portals are dramatically reduced.

Does anyone have an idea what I should do here?
Thanks in advance

How large of an installation do you have?  Number of portals, number of pages, etc?

You might try truncating the search tables, and triggering a full re-index, sometimes that brings it back into line.

The installation has 70 portals, over 3500 tabs (admin tabs excluded) and aprox. 11000 module instances.  So it's a quite big installation.

Wich search tables should I truncate if I want to re-index (SearchItem, SearchItemWord, SearchItemWordPosition, SearchWord)?

Thanks!
