Hi Chris,

it is the 05.04.02 (66) Community Edition. But this installation is an older one which is updated with every new version since 4.x. (I dont remember which version was the origininally installed one, it is approx. from April 2008).

Hope this helps. If you need any other information please contact me

My guess is that the portals with this issue were created with a Template, can anyone else confirm this when they have the problem?

Here is some SQL that you can run in the HOST/SQL Window to fix this on portals
(as with all SQL please backup your website/database prior to running this, just in case something breaks!, use at your own risk, etc)

update {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}portals
set
AdministratorRoleId = (select roleid
	from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Roles
	where {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Roles.PortalID
		={databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Portals.PortalID
	and RoleName = 'Administrators')

 After running the script, I found that I had to "restart the application" before the change was active.  Otherwise, perfect!

Same thing here, after the creation of a new portal, I have to manually fill "AdministratorRoleId" and "RegisteredRoleId" from "Portals" table. Then do an iisreset to apply the changes.

Thank you for the workaround of this DNN bug.
