 Hi, DotNetNukers,

I have the default DNN languageselector in a new skin. I see the flags. So far, so good. But how is it possible to change the order of languages? I searched several things, among which the default language-settings at the adminpages.

Kind regards,

Dear Ivo,

at time only the settings are localized.  For use this you have first to install the language pack you want to need, or you have manuelly to translate the language you not found as a language pack.  You find all thinks to do that on languages.

If you need to localized the content, this is into the roadmap, but looks like it needs a longer time.  There are some 3rd party modules availible on the communnity that are localizezed.  So one of it is the ML HTML Module, you can get from www.apollo-software.nl and you can check the codeplex.com.

Regarding your question there is no good way to reorder the languages. It will show up in the order you add the languages. Unfortunatly you cant remove the language and add them in an other order. So you have to do right from beginning:)

You can always do reordering by changing in the tables and stored procedure direct  but thats not so good. the sp GetLanguagesByPortal populate the order of the flags and there you could add order by CultureCode or CultureName but nothing that I recommend.

Thanks, Matthias, thanks Jan,

I had a short holiday, so a delayed reaction. I used to use Appollo. Now I'm testing Multi Language of Adequation. This uses the standard languagecontrol. Unfortunately the languages can't be ordered. Hope it will be possible in future DNN's. I'm going to look if the order can be changed in Appollo ML modules.

Greetz,
