Hi
We're currently running an intranet on DNN 4.9.3. I have many sections each with their own section editor. e.g. The Library section. Each section has a set of pages that is owned and maged by the section editor and they can add, edit pages and modules as they see fit.

The problem i am having is that I have a some text modules that are setup to exist on all pages and are set to be editable only by the administrator. When the library editor is on the library pages, in edit mode, the text modules that are supposed to be only editable by the administrator, are editable by the library section editor. Is this correct and can this be changed at all? I only want the section editor to be able to edit modules that they put on a page, not all modules?

Thanks

Can you verify that the module settings for those modules are not set to Inherit From Page Permissions?

Hi Chris
Thanks for the response. I have 3 modules in total. 2 of the modules have explicit permissions for view and administrators only permissions for edit. The 3rd module has inherit view permissions, but only administrators can edit.

Surely either way it doesn't matter because I'm not concerned about the view permissions but it is the editing permissions that concern me?

Thanks
