Our Form n List module has stopped sending emails all of a sudden.

I don't think anything has changed recently to effect it (I've even restored db back to when it was working, but this did not fix the issue).

* On Host >> SMTP settings >> test connection - this works

* On 'forgot password - this does not work and results in the following error:
A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

In the db table userDefinedData >> most content is not being written here either (i say most, becasue newly created fields seem to appear).

I created a new form to test this and the new field did appear in the db, but still no email was sent (i have selected the checkbox to send email notification and the address is correct as all 8 forms on the site used to work, but now they dont)

Can anybody think of a reason for this - or does it look like a network issue at our end?

something must have got corrupt along the lines (i did delete some unused tables from SQL but didn't think this mattered - as db rollback didn't put this right and it was still working after these deletions.

however, i then rolled back db again and content too (this time to exact same date and time and now it works ok.
