PS - another recommendation - I would copy and rename the ConfigDefault.xml and reference your new custom one in the web.config - just in case it gets overwritten on upgrade...

EDIT: Be sure to add htmtemplate to the host settngs for allowed file types. This will enable the templates feature if you upgrade from DNN5.4.x to 5.4.2.  Also, only DNN5.4.2 is able to insert the templates.

Lance, what did you mean by this? I upgraded from 5.2.2 - do I need to do this? What template features are you referring to?

The team is fixing this for the next release but for now the upgrades don't add correct file type for the editor's template features to fully work.

Go to: Host Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Allowable File Extensions and ensure 'htmtemplate' is included.

I have: template,docx,xlsx,pptx,swf,js,jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,doc,xls,ppt,pdf,txt,xml,xsl,css,zip,htmtemplate

Templates allow users to create their own complex snippets. Great for things like signatures.

Is there any way yet to get the Telerik editor to not remove all <script> tags and content and keep it from closing tables, divs, etc. For a lot of templating RADs you have to open a table in one editor, fill it in the next and close it in the footer editor. Telerik is killing my script and not letting me do <table> in one and </table> in the other, even in source view mode. I edit it and it either closes it or deletes it.

I'm with the City and County of Denver and we're attempting to configure the new Telerik editor to change toolbar options based upon role. Why were so many useful features stripped out of the Rad Edtior (Telerik edtior) by DNN? The "Themes" feature does not exist in DNN's version of the Telerik editor along with many other useful options. In addition, there seems to be zero documentation about what configuration options actually do exist. The Telerik support forum states that DNN has modified the editor that they can't support these modifications and that DNN customers should direct their inquiries to this forum. We're currently on 5.4.1 Professional and based upon previous posts, it appears that we cannot even leverage the templates feature because we're not on 5.4.2. Any plans to fix these issues soon, or advice about how to leverage all features?
