I seem to be having issues lately related to updating the Expiry Date on a portal after it has expired. It seems like if I login as Host I should be able to get to the Site Settings / Host Settings and change the date. But anything I try to access under the Admin tab just gives the simple Portal Expired message. Shouldn't I be able to access any page with Host credentials?

As a work around, I try a couple of things. One is that I use Host > Portals and then get to the expiry date that way. I used to just make the change directly in the database, but that doesn't seem to work at all now. Is there any explanation as to why I cannot change the Expiry Date in the db and have it work?

In today's case, when I try to access the Host menu to get to Portals I see the icons, but none of them work to get me to a page. Nothing happens when I click them.

So is there another work around to update the expiry date?

You should be able to edit Portal settings from Host :: Portals menu item. Which DNN version are you running? if you change values in the database, you need to restart the application to clear the cache.
