Hi,
I'm creating a site using DNN 5.4.1 Community Edition.
I've noted that on all the pages the locked view and edit page permissions are no longer on the Administrator account, but have slipped down a row to the All Users row.
This is on all pages within this portal, including the Administrator pages, but has not extended to the other portals on this server, or to the Host pages.
Obviously this has the effect that any visitor to the site can edit it, which isn't good news!
The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is that I have added 2 new security roles to the portal.

So first, is there an easy way of changing the page permissions back so the administrator has the locked read and edit access rights?

Secondly, is this a known issue?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi,
I am having exactly the same problem with 5.4.1

Two new portals I have created have this same issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Steve,
I saw your SQL fix in the bug tracker, to run update dbo_Portals set AdministratorRoleId = 0 , RegisteredRoleId = 1
I tried putting this into the SQL window but it comes back with an error mesage Invalid object name 'dbo_Portals'...
I'm not very knowledgeable on SQL - would you mind spending a moment spelling out how I should run this?
Many thanks,
Tim

Hi, I sussed out the SQL should have been dbo.Portals not dbo_Portals, but this doesn't fix it for me.
I ran the SQL from the SQL module in the portal that had the problem, logged in as host
It ran OK, but then logged me out and wouldn't let me log in as host to that portal, though I could log in as host to other portals, and if I made a new superuser account, I could log in to the faulty portal as host using the new account OK.
Then I went to look at the page permissions, and they were unchanged, which is different from what you experienced.
Did I do this differently from the way you did? Any other thoughts? This is going deeper into DNN than my current level of knowledge!
Tim
