Hi all,

I am facing problem in http alias, in my local install I have added alias as ip:port number but when I am opening from another machine in the network it is opening the site but when I click on some page link for example I click on home then it showing resource not found, do I need to do something else also so that I can also access the portal from other machine as well in the same network .

Thanks in advance

As long as you have it setup for the public IP for your machine and they are on the same network you should be ok.

Depending on how you are configuring the non-standard port you might want to validate that the connection isn't blocking outside callers.

I too had this problem, and nevergot to the bottom of it.  DNN4.9.4 works fine, but using the same settings causes DNN5.x to show "resource would not be found".

Any tips on where to look would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

I have to  used  computer name  instead of ip: port  to access the local install DNN from another machine in the same network.
Try  portalAlias as   computername/DNN foldername

Thanks
Vijay
