Hi

Issue in DNN5.2.3

Using the LInk icon in the HTML Editor module

I have a website which has two or more domain names.
My issue is when I want to link to a webpage within the site I get absolute links

eg protocol = "http://", url = "www.abc.co.nz/Services/ProcurementandSupplyChain.aspx"
The above url will cause a problem because I have two or more domain names using the same web content

I would like to have when I select a webpage within the site the following
eg protocol = "http://", url = "/Services/ProcurementandSupplyChain.aspx" (relative links)
This will ensure the domain name stays the same

Thanks in advance

Raj

this used not to happen in earlier versions of DNN, you may try latest version 5.4.2, which now uses Telerik RAD editor as default.

Sebastian, but what if one does not want to use the Telerik but the good old fashioned FCK-Editor?

I do not believe it is Telerik Editor. I have a site we created recently for a client and found that in DNN 5, the urls kept their full path UNLESS you actually set them to be tracked.  Don't ask me why or how, I just know that is how we work around it now.

Try setting the urls to be tracked in the editor ... fixed it - or is this not possible in Telerik Editor.

You can changed the editor in the web.config section of the file - You might need to look at an old config file to see the settings, but it will allow you to use the FCKEditor again. I don't think it has been completely replaced as yet, but I could be wrong.

My understanding is that it's still a known issue with the Telerik Editor (already logged in Gemini), and there should be no issue with the FCK editor, at least in 5.4.2

Of course if you were using something like the Newsletters module, or send out emails, you would want to use absolute links, everything else you would probably want relative.
