i am trying to instal DOTNETNUKE for the first time on my pc
and it was going good until i reached the phase of configuring the database
when i press next its showing me errors although all my info are correctly there
please check and advice

Select Database:

Server: Enter the Name or IP Address of the computer where the Database is located. (if using Oracle enter the Data Source (SID))
Filename: Enter the name of the Database File (located in the App_Data Directory)
Integrated Security: Check this if you are using SQL Server's Integrated Security, which means you will be using your Windows account to access SQL Server. If you are using SQL Server Express then you will most likely need to check this option. If you have been given a UserId/Password to access your Database, leave this unchecked, and provide the UserId/Password combination.
Run as db Owner: Check this if you are running the database as Database Owner - if left unchecked you will be running as the User ID specified
Object Qualifier: Enter an optional "prefix" to use for all your database objects - this helps ensure that there are no object name clashes.

Lawandos, the best thing you can do is to confirm with your installed SQLExpress instances is the NAME of those instances.

By default they would be called .\SQLExpress, but if you have two different versions installed at least one of them is using another name, and it is possible that during install of each you named them something else.

Now, the trick is to figure out what name they are actually using. You can do this by going to your control panel, going into Administrative Tools, clicking on Services and looking for SQL Server in there, see if you can see different instance names configured.

Just to be clear on one thing, your SQLExpress instance is on the same PC you are trying to install DNN on correct? Not on another machine?
