Have you ever tried to create a hyperlink to and image file in DNN 5 ? Well, you can't, at least not with a wizard.

We added this issue to gemini.  http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=12464&PROJID=2µ
But to our big surprise we got a "Won't fix" reply, stating "... this is something that needs to be directed towards (http://www.telerik.com/) who make the editor".
I hope they change their mind.

Hello Robrecht,

If you modify the ConfigDefault.xml in \Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Telerik\Config\ of your DNN installation.

you can add ,*.jpg on the DocumentManager.SearchPatterns

exemple :

<property name="DocumentManager.SearchPatterns">*.doc,*.txt,*.docx,*.xls,*.xlsx,*.pdf,*.ppt,*.pptx,*.xml,*.zip,*.jpg</property>

so the documentmanager show you images, on witch you can link (like in DNN4)

In DNN4 the wizard show you all files in the dropdowlist. Now you can filter the files types.

Sacha,

Thanks for that tip.

What do you think, should *.jpg and *.gif and *.png by default be part of that list ?
I think they should.

It is a rather limited list. A limited list is fine if there is an easy way to add things to it (like the allowable extensions for uploading in the admin menu). I wish there was a menu like the allowable extensions for this as well. Updating the config file works, but it's easier for some to use a menu rather than updating files manually.
