I am a tech at a school district and currently use DNN for our main district site. I have been working on implementing sites for schools and departments within the district but am having a tough time managing user permissions to sites so users can do what they need to do along with allowing them to move their pages' order around within the navigation. What I have come to doing is splitting up each school's site into a parent portal (for the school) and a child portal (for the teacher at that school). The only problem I am experiencing with this is that I can't incorporate the navigation from the parent portal (the school site) into the navigation of the child folder (the teacher's site). Is there a way to embed the navigation menu from a parent portal into the child portal? Ideally I'd like to drop in the same NAV house menu tag into my template but have it pull the menu from the menu from another portal.

Thanks in advance.

unfortunately, parent and child portals do not share content by default. you may however, use a custom Skin object which loads list of portals and displays it as top level.
