Special Permissions

I have a client that i am building a website for and she would like to be able to edit the content. She doesn't want access to everything. I also would like to hide the core admin & host features. I would also like to hide the upper edit panel that you can add pages and modules to.

I think i need to create a profile for client admin, rather than subscriber or registered user. I do not know how to do it. i have never had a reason to manipulate user permissions until now.

>>> SECOND DESCRIPTION::

I AM TRYING TO LIMIT ACCESS TO PARTS OF THE SITE.

like on the home page -- If i have 3 html modules (mod1 holds the banner, mod2 holds welcome text, mod3 has a blog module in it).

I want to make it so that a userA who logs in thru the website to only have edit access to mod1 and mod3.... but not mod2. userA can not see the admin menu on the site. userA can not see the top panel. userA can not see the host menu.

How is this done?

The best way to keep it flexible would be to create a new role under "Admin" -> "Security Roles".

Then add the user to the role.

Then grant that role "Edit" permission to any needed modules.
