I have a DNN 5.1 site shared hosted by Godaddy.  The site has been up and active for over a year.  I mistakenly uploaded a 5.4.4 web.config to the site.  Realizing the mistake, I immediately uploaded the correct web.config for the site.  However, i am now unable to access the site with any of the known UserID/Password combinations.  When I request my password send be sent to me, I receive the message "There was an error retrieving your password. No password was sent."  I can see the 50+ UserId's in the database, but the site does not appear to be able to access them.  Any ideas?

did you upload previously used web.config? you need to be sure using the correct db connection string as well as same machine key as before. if you have access to the database, you may find this option useful: http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/183/Default.aspx

I believe it was the machine key that did me in.  Thanks so much for the link, I was able to correct the issue by following the instructions and resetting the user passwords.
