I noticed that system folders are not hidden in DNN 5.4.4.  I took a look at the code for filemanager.ascx.vb and it appears that the method ileSystemUtils.SynchronizeFolder needs to take an addtional parameter to enable this functionality, is there a reason why this parameter was not included in the release?  I modified the lnkSyncFolders_Click method in filemanager.ascx.vb from:

 Protected Sub lnkSyncFolders_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.ImageClickEventArgs) Handles lnkSyncFolders.Click
            If IsHostMenu Then
                FileSystemUtils.SynchronizeFolder(Null.NullInteger, Common.Globals.HostMapPath, "", True, False, True)
            Else
                FileSystemUtils.SynchronizeFolder(PortalId, PortalSettings.HomeDirectoryMapPath, "", True, False, True)
            End If

            BindFolderTree()
            BindFileList()
        End Sub

to:

Protected Sub lnkSyncFolders_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.ImageClickEventArgs) Handles lnkSyncFolders.Click
            If IsHostMenu Then
                FileSystemUtils.SynchronizeFolder(Null.NullInteger, Common.Globals.HostMapPath, "", True, False, True, True)
            Else
                FileSystemUtils.SynchronizeFolder(PortalId, PortalSettings.HomeDirectoryMapPath, "", True, False, True, True)
            End If

            BindFolderTree()
            BindFileList()
        End Sub

This appears to hide the system folders for my installation, are there any side effects to this fix and will something similar be included in a future DNN release?

Thanks.

Derek
