I have a site that has been running for years.  I upgraded it to 5.4.2 back in May and it has been running fine.  Today the client called with a problem.  I just checked and there is no content at all on the site.  The skin shows up fine but the menus do not work, the login does nothing and none of the content shows up.  I even tried going directly to an inner page and only the skin shows up.  Do you think there is a database issue?  I have good daily backups so I can restore easily if needed.

I found the issue and have submitted a ticket to have this taken care of.  The database is off line, I can't even access it through the Hosting service control panel.

hm, database driven CMS without a database is not a good idea ;) I hope, your hosting provider will get it online asap and you have a recent backup if necessary!

The hosting provider used to keep a rotation of 3 backups.  When I went to restore today, they are only keeping one backup from last night and it aparently is damaged also because there is still no content on the site.  I am downloading the site to my server now to see if I can resolve this.  I checked a couple other sites I have hosted there and they only have one backup each too.  Guess I will have ot write some scripts. :-(

Any ideas what would cause the site to showup, but with no content at all and no menu or login actions?

unfortunately, you sole option will be getting the database fixed or you'll have to create a new DNN (locally) and try to transfer as much content as possible in the database. Good luck. PS: I have no idea, what could have been the cause for the issue. Check the eventlog table and ask your hosting provider to retrieve server events, which might have affected the site as well.
