Hello!

I would like to enable to site log.  My main goal is to see how often certain users are using certain portions of the site.  I'm using DNN 4.5.4 on SQL 2000

I get the message 'Your Hosting Provider Has Disabled the Site Log History Feature For Your Portal.' when trying to access Admin -> Site Log.

I have set the 'Site Log Storage' to Database, the 'Site Log Buffer' to 10, and the 'Site Log History' to 10 in Host settings.  I am not getting any data in the SiteLog table.  Thanks for your help!

John

John,

You must enable logging under the Host Setting/Other.  This will enable the site log for the entire instance of DNN.

Thanks for the reply Paul...  Didn't I mention that is what I tried?  Is there a different setting I am not looking at?

John,  oops

yes you did mention setting the Host /Other -- it's one I forget.   Last idea would be to restart the application to ensure the site log setting are taken.

if you enable the buffer, you need to enable Scheduler Job "purge Buffer" as well. Make sure, in Site Settings > other Settings > Host Settings, you specify an appropriate Site Log History as well.
