Im trying to move a ddn5 site from one server to another.

First i copied all the files, then restored the database and setup the right permissions.
I edited the web.config to match the new database server, user and password.
Then i changed the url in PortalAliases in the database to the test-url of the new server.

When i try to visit the site Internet Explorer just freezes and Firefix tells its stuck in an infinite loop.

What did i miss?

Thanks in advance!

Which browser are you using? did you check the database connection to be working?

Restarting the app (web.config add/remove space) solve this for me.

Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.6.9.

If i change the PortalAliases back to the old address i get redirected to the old site, so i assume that the database connection is working.
