Hi,

Not sure if this is in the correct forum.

I have set the customErrors tag to <customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="~/MyErrorPage.aspx" />

I want any error to redirect to the same page.  This includes 404's, code issues etc.

The site just ignores this though.  A 404 will redirect too the default IIS error page and a code compilation problem will redirect too the default "runtime error" page.

the tag is in the web.config file in the system.web tag.
<customErrors mode="On" redirectMode="ResponseRewrite" defaultRedirect="~/ErrorPage.aspx" />

I've tried the full url too.  Keep ending up on the default iis error pages

did you test with an ASPX file - other missing files will not be handled by ASP.Net

I've sorted it out.... I think.  Made a html error page and that loads when there is a code error.  I still get the normal iis 404 page for non existant links though.  To protect against the bug (described in the link) I thought i needed every error to display the same page.
