I recently upgraded an instal from 5.4 to 5.5.1 without issue. We have now decided we want to use the Taxonomy feature and have set up some vocabularies and terms and assigned some of these in the page settings. Then we registered the tag in the skin using:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="TAGS" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Tags.ascx" %>

Everything still works fine to this point and even though you can't see any tags the pages render OK. However, as soon as you add the skin object anywhere on the page using:

<dnn:Tags runat="server" id="dnnTags" />

the whole site crashes to the DNN error page, which doesn't give any errors just a couple of links to return to the site, which of course you can't because you just get directed back to the same error page. The address bar does include the following as part of the address though:

Default.aspx?tabid=40&error=Sequence+contains+more+than+one+element&content=0

Anybody experienced this of have some ideas?

In case anyone else comes across this issue I managed to get it sorted.

Purely by accident I noticed that DNN had somehow added an additional application scope System Vocabulary for Taxonomy so there were 2 rows in the database for user tags. Once I removed the duplicate row (manually) everything was OK.

I am not entirely sure but I have a feeling this additional System Vocabulary may have occured when trying to add a new simple vocabulary and DNN errored due to the insert failing with a message about trying to insert a record with databse fields that were not allowed to be Null. A potential bug I think.
