Hello

because I didn't find a thread about the search module, I'm posting it here. (DNN Version 5.5.0 and 5.5.1)

Recently I had some problems with the Search. When hitting the search button, I was redirected to the home page. This is wat happened:

Surfing to www.mysite.com/SearchResult.aspx redirects to homepage
Surfing to www.mysite.com/SearchResult.aspx?Sear... redirects to homepage
Surfing to www.mysite.com/tabid/69/SearchResult.... redirects to resultpage  = OK

After some debugging, I found that the Admin/Skins/Search.ascx.vb file has following code on line 325:
Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(searchTabId) & "?Search=" & Server.UrlEncode(searchText))

I changed it to
Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(searchTabId, "", "Search=" & Server.UrlEncode(searchText)))

And the problem was fixed. Hope this was usefull and this will be fixed in next release.

Grtz,
Cliff Van Craeyenest
