Log in as a super user.
To clear the event log go to Admin|Event and click the 'Clear Log' link, this will clear the current entries from the file.
To reduce the number of items logged on the Admin Event viewer page click the down arror next to the 'Event Viewer' title/Icon and select 'Edit Log Settings'. Then for each event you can edit whether the event is actually logged and how many  past events are kept.

With the site Log in the Host settings on the Admin|Site Settings page you can set how many days history are kept for each site.  Also make sure the  'DotNetNuke.Services.Log.SiteLog.PurgeSiteLog, DOTNETNUKE' scheduled event (Host|Schedule) is configured to run.

In DNN8 how do I Also make sure the 'DotNetNuke.Services.Log.SiteLog.PurgeSiteLog, DOTNETNUKE' scheduled event (Host|Schedule) is configured to run.? This is not an option in my host-scheduler.
Please see the attached screenshot or visit http://www.onewavefiles.com/scheduler... to see what my scheduler has to offer.

Can you please provide instructions on how to turn in on in DNN8? It is not an option.

Here is a link to a screenshot of the options of the Scheduler options in DNN8

http://www.onewavefiles.com/scheduler...

And here is a screenshot of the "Add Event To Scheduler" page. What do we need to put in each field?

http://www.onewavefiles.com/add-item-...

If you look at DNN7 this is the how the fields are filled out in the "Purge Site Log" but even in DNN7 when I enable it, it never works. I tried using the exact same info in each field from DNN7 to create a new "Add Event To Schedule" page by copying and pasting what the "Purge Site Log" shows in DNN7 (which doesn't work). Here's each field.

Settings from DNN7
Purge Site Log
Friendly Name:Purge Site Log
Full Class Name and Assembly: DotNetNuke.Services.Log.SiteLog.PurgeSiteLog,DOTNETNUKE
Frequency: 12 hours
Retry Time Lapse: 2 Hours
Retain Schedule History: 10
Run On Event: None
Catch Up Enabled: Unchecked (May want to check this)
Object Dependencies: SiteLog
Run on Servers: Empty

Please provide detailed instructions on how to "Add Event Scheduler" to "Purge Site Log" that actually works in DNN8.

Thank you,
