Hi,

    I am using DNN 5.4 and in the copyright text area i need to add text which is more than 100 chars roughly 500 chars.However the issue i am facing isit is getting truncated when a long text is entered.
   
 How could i possibly over come this issue?.Is it possible to modify the DNN table to allow more character length.But i am worried about the future DNN upgradations and the issue that might prop up due to this change.

Please help me.

you might be able to modify table and stored procedure, but a) there might be a truncation in DNN code as well and b) your changes might get overwritten on upgrades. Consider to "hard code" the text into your skin or in a HML module placed in this area.

Hi ,
 
  Thank you very much for the quick reply. As i cannot move on to hard coding in the skins as this change should be manageable on portal to portal basis.Also, the text/html module configuration would limit this text display in the admin only areas, like edit pages.

  I think should go for the first suggestion.
