create a favicon.ico image file and place it in the root of your site (e.g. /portals/0)

Thanks for your response.  Right now the /portals/1 does not have a favicon.ico file within it.  I have a DotNetNuke icon showing on my website.
I want to remove the DotNetNuke icon from showing up.
If I find that they do not want a specific icon representing the company to show up, how can I have the DotNetNuke icon replaced by the browser icon?
And just to confirm, if they do come up with an icon dexign for this website, I should name the icon file "favicon.icon" and  place it in /portals/1 so it will show up for my portal.  Is that correct?

if you don't want DotNetNuke icon displaying as favicon, remove favicon.ico from root of your DNN installation folder. Please be aware, that your browser might cache the icons.

Thanks Sebastion, removing the favicon.ico from my DNN installation (C:/DotNetNuke) folder worked perfectly to remove the DotNetNuke icon from my portal.  Yes, I had to refresh my browser.
