How can I move/export a child portal from one DNN installation to another, assuming DNN versions, skins & modules are the same on both installations?

Thanks!

login as host, select portals from host menu and select the desired portal to create a template. Please notice:

  1. currently not all modules support the necessary interface iPortable
  2. tab settings are not exported.
  3. skins and modules need to be installed prior to creating the portal using the generated template.

Thanks Leupold, just two more questions...

Is there's a list of the modules that supports iPortable?
A DNN portal can be converted to a "standalone" set of asp pages for use without DNN?

for a list of your modules, supporting iportable you have to access the database directly, and check the SupportedFeatures column in desktop modules table. AFAIR an odd value indicates iportable support. DNN 3.3 / 4.1 will make these features visible in the module definition host module.

I cannot think of an option to convert DNN to classic asp. There had been attempts to export DNN as plain HTML, but I have never tried and of course all dynamic content will be lost.
