Since upgrading a module on a test DNN installation today, DNN refuses to start up, throwing the exception below. What's worse is that it has also brought down another production DNN installation on the same server, that I urgently need to get working again. Other ASP.NET applications running on the same server are working OK.

I have tried deleting the installed files, but it doesn't fix the problem. To me it looks like an issue at AppPool or server level. That's the only way I can see it affecting two sites. AFAIK, individual instances of DNN run in separate ASP worker processes and should be isolated from each other.

I urgently need to solve this problem and would be grateful for any help anyone can offer.

An error has occurred.

In the end this problem was solved when the hosting company applied some outstanding windows updates to the server. In case anyone has a similar problem.
