Having the same problem. Error log below...ended up commenting out this line, 425 in LanguageEditor.ascx.vb and it all works:

'languageLabel.Language = language.Code

We do not have multiple languages enabled on the site.

unfortunately, the error message does not provide any valuable details - it can be any error. Hopefully DNN Corp succeeds soon to provide a working solution for creating language packs.

Is this still an issue in 5.6.1? I'm getting nowhere with language editor. No files to edit.
Can you elaborate on the exact syntax for the fix you refer to?
