this has been reported before, go to line 561 in LanguageEditor.ascx.vb and add a line Dim di as object.

We have a client with a similar issue.  I upgraded their site to 5.6.0, and now the Languages pages reports:
Error: Languages is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Languages.LanguageEditor.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I updated the LanguageEditor.ascx.vb as indicated, but this appears to be a different error.  Do you have any idea what it might be?

please check the DNN event log for related errors. Unfortunately, the current does not provide any details :((
