Can anyone shed some light what the following error means and how to go about correcting it.  We are seeing it every time a change a user's profile is updated and the update link is clicked on and you are returned to the screen that lists users.

A critical error has occurred.
Multiple controls with the same ID 'icoUser' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs.

The install is DNN4.9.5

Is there any core or usercontrol modification has been made on the user section or are you using a custom module for this? If no probably the best is to backup your whole files and database and do an upgrade. If the upgrade doesnt go well, you can flash back to the current version.

The site is using the DataSprings Dynamic Registration module which is working. its just when we use the core user management that we are getting the error. I don't want to upgrade the install until its all working. But I need to know what this error is 'saying' so I can fix it. Antony

in which DNN version do you experience duplicate control IDs? I remember early versions of DNN 5, but never heard the same on recent versions.

How can I fix the problem (which should also allow me to prevent a reoccurrence)
