We have a intranet website in which two domains(a.xyz   and b.xyz) are pointing to same folder with dns names different. There is an redirection issue happening suddenly when the dotnetnuke.dll  version changed from 4.8.3 to 4.9.0.

Version changed b'coz of the below changes that i did to the library

In Dotnetnuke solutions, the following file has been changed.
File : \Library\Components\Framework\ AJAX.vb
In Script ManagerType Function the following line has been changed.
Changes : "System.Web.UI.ScriptManager", True line has been changed to "Telerik.Web.UI.RadScriptManager", True.

After making the above changes the dotnetnuke has been rebuild and got the new version (dotnetnuke.dll) of version 4.9.0
The following dll are changed due to the above changes.

  • DotNetNuke.dll
  • CountryListBox.dll

Issue:

When i hit link of the article page of a.xyz which is pointing to b.xyz, it asks the user to login again. Earlier it was working fine, it didnt ask the user to login again as both the intranet websites(a.xyz and b.xyz) are pointing to same folder.

Any settings that we have to make ??..

My first thoughts are do a file compare of the old Web.Config with the new Release.Config file.  I think there are changes that need to make it into your existing Web.Config (i.e. provider info changed from the standard script manager to the new Telerik one). If you do not have a file compare tool you can download BeyondCompare with offers a 30 day full featured trial.
