I working on a site that commonly needs my modules to link to each other.  I cannot use TabIDs because there will eventaully be many different portal instances of the site.  So I'm using the TabController.GetTabByName function.  This doesn't seem very safe as some future web-master guy can change the tab names for various reasons (localization, for example) and break the site.

So, how would you handle this scenario?

Thanks!
Walter

I don't know if this is "best practise", but I generally create a module options page with a drop-down list of pages for the various "other" pages I need modules to be able to re-direct to, and configure them after installation.  So for a case where I have a "company editor" and a "user editor" and I want the user editor to have a link to the company editor page, I would have a module option "Company Editor page" for the module.

It's very flexible, but a pain to set up at install time (because it must be done manually).
