Hi,
I am using trial version of DNN to check the functionality.
Good product.

I could able to deploy entire site first time on staging server by creating virtual directory in IIS and using copy of database.

Now, I need to know steps, how to make incremental patches for desired module with versioning if possible.

Here,
when i make changes to a module, i need a patch contains the updates of the module to be applied on staging server.
next time when i change the module, i need a patch contains the latest updates of the module to be applied on staging server.
and so on..

Thnaks in advance.

are you talking about module development or maintaining module content?

What is difference in module development and module content...?

module development refers to dealing with VB or C# code, creating functionality like versioning, master detail etc. E.g. the HTML module has been developed by DNN Corp., while site editors may add instances to the pages of their web sites and add content (images, text) to it.

Thank you for the input.

Basically we are using DNN 05.05 and we donot have any plan to upgrade the source given by DNN time to time.

Accordingly, to understand the issue consider following example:

0. We have 2 Servers with independent setup/copy of DB and portal-site manly: a) Development Server and b) Staging Server

1. We add a New Page in existing site on development server.
2. We add a HTML Pro text on the Page.
3. We test the site and found working all Right.
4. Now, we need to move the newly added Page with the module to Staging Server as a Patch / a Package.

How do we do that..?
