The most recent site I built using DNN was built using a temp domain name, which I changed over to the permanent domain yesterday.

As part of the process I went through the site looking for broken links and I noticed something about using fckeditor to add page links. Image links and file links are correctly added as relative links (without the root domain in the path), but page links are created with the complete URL, including the domain. In this case it turned out to be a pain, because I had to go through the entire site (~80 pages) and remove the domain portion of the paths from any embedded page links so that the new domain would work correctly.

I would think that the fckeditor should only create relative paths for all links it generates. Because one of the great features of DNN is that it can handle multiple alias' for a single installation. Using absolute paths to any resource on the same installation / server has the potential to create "page not found" issues.

I would look at a tool called Engage: F3, it was designed for the purpose of search/replace in the HTML module for cases like this. (it's free from www.engagesoftware.com)
