Hello,

New users are getting an error after registering that says registration couldn't be completed.  However, they are then immediately able to log in.

I checked the event log, and found this:

Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: sorry, your mail was administratively denied.

As I'm brand new to DNN, I'm not really sure what this might be referring to.

I currently don't have the ability to send outgoing mail through my host (to my knowledge).  Is there a setting somewhere that might prevent my users from getting this?

As far as I can recall, I don't believe you can disable the email notification(s) that are done when a new user registers. I would check with your hosting provider to see if they infact do provide email capabilities and if so set up at least one email account for your domain. You will also need to find out what values you should use in configuring DotNetNuke (found in Host-->Host Settings - SMTP Server) to be able to send email. Also, make sure that the portal admin user has a valid email address in the same domain as that of the site.
