Hi,

I am working on DNN Trial version to find features of the product.
I have downloaded "Spanish (Spain) Language Pack [5.3.1] Core Only" from Resource -> Language Packes.
The zip file i have is "ResourcePack.Core.5.3.1.es-ES.zip".

I able to install the language pack successfully. And can see 2 Languages from Admin -> Languages.
(ie English and Spanish with the country Flags).

I can even change static resources ie system, host, site.

The Problem is my nither my pages getting translated into Spenish language nor the key workds such as Name, Template, Include in Menu, Admin, Module, New Existing, etc in the Edit mode Common Tasks.

Help from yourside is appriciated.

DotNetNuke provides localization for static text elements and for user content.  The Language packs are used for localizing static resources and will mainly appear in the administrative portions of the user interface.  If you want to localize the content on your site, then you will need to enable content localization.

Goto the Host > Host Settings and find the Advanced Settings/Other Settings section.  The last check box enables administrators to turn on Content Localization for each portal as desired.  With that enabled, you can go to the Admin > Languages page and will now have the ability to click the Enable Localized Content.

Even with content localization enabled, you will not have automatic language translation.  As anyone who has tried automatic localization can tell you - automated language conversion is very poor.  Language translation is best handled by translators who are fluent in both languages in order to understand the nuances and slang terms that often trip up the automatic translation services.
