Hey,

On my site I used some Hyperlink Anchors to link from one page to another and then directly to the linked resource. This works fine; what doesn't work is that the Favicon is not being displayed when users arrived at the page via the hyperlink anchor. If you were to just navigate to the page normally the favicon will show up just fine; but not if you arrived to the page via the hyperlink anchor.

Is this a bug? Or something amiss here?

Cheers,
Dean,

OK...In case you are still having the issue, Dean...or anyone else happens to have the same problem...I seem to have fixed the issue on my site. I did two things...but honestly, I couldn't tell you which thing worked. It is quite possible I did not give my first solution enough time...but doing both doesn't hurt anything. So, this is what I did.

1. Even though I changed the favicon on the site in the site settings, I did not change it in my root folder. I had foolishly believed that by adding the favicon.ico in the site settings, it automatically changed this icon in the root folder...not so...the dnn favicon.ico was still in the root folder. This I changed by ftp-ing my favicon.ico into my root folder, replacing the dnn favicon.ico.

I refreshed my site, and it was still showing the dnn icon. Now, it is possible I did not give it enough time to really refresh...and I did not clear my history and then refresh. So, it is possible that this solution was enough...but I am impatient...so....

2. I noticed, when I was doing the first thing that there is another icon in the root folder called DotNetNuke.ico. I do not know what this is used for, but my head was thinking...maybe that is what the anchor is using. Since I didn't know where to find what it was using, so obviously I couldn't change what it was using, I decided to simply replace this icon with my favicon as well. So, I copied my favicon and renamed it DotNetNuke.ico, and ftp-ed it just like I did the favicon...into the root folder.

This time I cleared my history, and then refreshed...and whala! Now my favicon is displayed no matter how I get to the page.

Hope this helps.
