We built a new website(DNN5.6.0) and online now, but I have "General Exception" message in Event Viewer everyday. Some people said I just need to delete the HTTP Alias from Site setting-Portal Alias. Then I noticed I had many HTTP Aliases there which were something like our old website links. I didn't create them, why there? I deleted all the HTTP Aliases there. But next day I checked, they were all back again. What I should do? Something wrong with IIS? Anyone can help me? Thanks a lot!

What exactly is the general exception error you are seeing ?

Having said this - with regard to all the new aliases being created - there are some known issues in this area which have been rectified in 5.6.2 by basically reversing the way the system operates in this area.

Thank you. My error message in Log viewer:

Message: System.Exception: Unhandled Error: ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule.OnAuthenticateRequest(Object s, EventArgs e)
at System.Web.HttpApplication.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() at
System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously)
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

And today I found 70 Http Aliases had been created. Need upgrade to 5.6.2?
