Dear Chiefs and Chieftains and masters of DNN universe,

I believe i have two "How do i problems"

My URL is www.dancechic.com

Problem 1: There is this font color that is in blue the "Register" the "Login" all in blue over black background and it seems like my team and myself just cant change the font color to white.

Problem 2: I dont know when this happened but I cannot upload an image, or any file with the file upload utility, it always says "Critical Error, lack of disk space" I just cant upload anywhere whether in the photo album or in the file manager.
Assumptions: I have changed the disk space quota in the host portal setting to over 100 MB when i am just taking only 20 MB according to the file manager. I have been through all, i mean ALL listings of google search "Lack of diskspace Dotnetnuke" and have more or less done whatever i found sensible, like clearing the site logs etc etc.

Any help to the humble DNN soldier is highly appreciated.

Hi,

not an expert at where it is, but you may want to look at the default.css in the portals/_default directory

in particular:

.SkinObject {

font-weight: bold;

font-size: 8.5pt;

color: #003366;

font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica;

text-decoration: none;

}

A.SkinObject:link {

text-decoration: none;

color:#003366;

}

A.SkinObject:visited {

text-decoration: none;

color:#003366;

}

A.SkinObject:active {

text-decoration: none;

color:#003366;

}

A.SkinObject:hover {

text-decoration: none;

color:#003366;

}

As for #2, you may want to use the MS SQL Management Studio, and try to shrink the log and data files

HTH,

Yippee!!!

One problem solved! The font works! Thanks Chief!

However for the file upload I still have the same problem, i tried to see the file size for the data file and log file and i really dont see a lot of space taken up by the database its just 16MB for the data file and 7MB for the log file. So i did not shrink it.

Let me know if there is anything else I have to do to get it working.
Also another assumption .. when i use a standard FTP software I can easily upload any file but not when I am using any interface of DNN to upload.

Ok chiefs!

I managed to solved this myself, its kinda silly but then just thought of sharing this with all, just incase.

The database ran out of space. Despite of clearing the log files and other stuff that was not necessary for the site, it was unable to upload any files since every upload of the file requires an entry in the database.
I had to ask the service provider to increase the disk space and most importantly restart site or refresh the IIS and then it started working normally again!!
