Hello,

I've been playing around with DotNetNuke for a project where we will need to track potential users who have not signed up for the site yet. For example, I might enter on a form that I want to work with John Smith. If John is in our system, I want it to link to John's existing record. If not, I want a record created for John. Then, when John registers, his new registration should tie to the existing record and associate my project with him with his new username.

I'm not sure if that makes sense - but has anybody had any experience with that sort of thing? I know the username field is required in the users table, so does that mean I would have to create a full account (with username and password) for John?

Thanks,

Mike
