Looking for a possible solution to this error. I received it after I deleted a blank friendly url entry.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

restart the application (e.g. by adding a blank at the end of the first line in your web.config file).

That did the trick. Is there any way to avoid that from happening or is this just a little quirk?
