Hi,

The Telerik RadEditor does not insert images in HTML modules no matter what I try and even if upload the images to the portal root.
It 'sees' the images in the portal root, but when I click on 'insert' absolutely nothing happens.
Subfolders are an issue as well, as often the RadEditor cannot display a preview of the image and also does not insert it.
I tested this on a clean install on my local machine.

If there is a resolution I would be glad to know of it.

In the meantime I would like to revert to the 'FckHtmlEditorProvider' but can not do so because there is no provider listed for it in the web.config.
Mine looks like this after a clean install:

<htmlEditor defaultProvider="TelerikEditorProvider">
      <providers>
        <clear />
        <!--Upgraded by DotNetNuke.TelerikEditorProvider version 5.6.2 - Date: 5/19/2011 5:20:47 PM-->
        <!--<add name="TelerikEditorProvider" type="DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.TelerikEditorProvider.EditorProvider, DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.TelerikEditorProvider" providerPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/" toolsFile="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config/ToolsDefault.xml" configFile="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config/ConfigDefault.xml" FilterHostExtensions="True" />-->
        <add name="TelerikEditorProvider" type="DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.TelerikEditorProvider.EditorProvider, DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.TelerikEditorProvider" providerPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/" toolsFile="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config/ToolsDefault.xml" configFile="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config/ConfigDefault.xml" FilterHostExtensions="True" />
      </providers>
    </htmlEditor>

Is the FckHtmlEditorProvider still available in DNN 5.06.02? I would like to make use of it as a workaround unless there is a way to resolve the RadEditor issues.

Could you provide me with the correct <add name="FckHtmlEditorProvider" section to add into the web.config section to enable it, because as you can see it does not exist in my web.config, not even commented out.

I have spent half the day googling for a possible solution to these issues but could not find a resolution.

Could you please help? I am building a DNN website for a customer so time is of the essence.

Thanks in advance,
Deon

In order to use the FCK Editor in 5.6.2 it would need to be installed (or there from previous upgrades). You can download an older version of DNN (pre 5.4) and find the installation zip for FCK in the install/provider folder.

You could also try the DNNWerk editor provider, or the CKEditor provider, both I believe can be found on codeplex.com
