Ok, so I've been running into this extremely weird issue.  After installing dnn fresh, if I attach the database to SQL server it kills the website.  DNN goes to the standard dnn installation page. Resetting the webserver, pool or restarting the machine does not fix the issue.  Anyone else running into this?

Thanks.

For those who have set up DotNetNuke to connect to the SQL Express user instance database App_Data\Database.mdf, this issue comes up so frequently that I have kept a link to Shawn Mehaffie's blog post which explains the issue and how to avoid/fix it:
