The directory tree control is not responding to any commands, all I can see is 4 files in the root directory.  I can't change directories, etc. Any ideas on what to do to get this working again?

A few questions to help with diagnosis.
  1. What browser are you using? Have you tried different browsers?
  2. What version of DNN are you using?
  3. Are there any javascript errors reported by the browser?
  4. Are you in "View" or "Edit" mode?
  5. Have you tried the File Manager page using the default skin (MinimalExtropy)?

What browser are you using? Have you tried different browsers?

IE 8, 9 and Chrome all have the same issue.

What version of DNN are you using?

5.6.2 initial install (not upgraded).  I use DNN Backup for backup/restore operations, and I have used the restore option (several) times during the development of my site.

Are there any javascript errors reported by the browser?

    None

Are you in "View" or "Edit" mode?

    Edit Mode

Have you tried the File Manager page using the default skin (MinimalExtropy)?

I am using the default skin.

Ken

I suspect you are using DNN version 5.6.1. I think its an issue in 5.6.2 as well

go to host/host settings vand go to Performance settings.

and in the compression setting drop down choose, no compression

That should fix you problem until an upgrade that fixes the issue is released.

Hope this helps

I am using 5.6.2, as confirmed in the Host Settings.  The Performance Settings had "no compression" already selected.  I tried updating with compression, and updating back to no compression and the problem still persists.

I am using another FTP client, so this is not a deal breaker for me, but it would be nice to upload, create/delete folders from within DNN.
