I have had a couple of user reports that my site www.oilconsolidation.co.uk causes their IE8 to crash.  It's a real crash  with the "Internet Explorer has stopped working" dialog.

One user is on Vista64bit + IE8, another is on XP + IE8.  I use Win 7 + IE8 and have NEVER seen the problem.

Is anyone aware of ways a site can crash IE8?

I do realize that my site may be just the innocent victim here.  Is there a simple (please!) log analysis tool that would let me identify if there are/are not loads of successful (say) XP + IE8 users?

Best wishes,

please check the javescript issued by your site, maybe there is some code executed by the client, which leads to an infinite loop or sth like this.
