Current Version of DNN 5.6.3

When logged in as Host, Document Manager works just fine.

However, when logged in as an admin, the document manager window appears containing just a Server Error. This also happens with Image Manager, Flash Manager and Template Manager, although Media manager works just fine.

The error does not appear in the Log Viewer, but when running as local host, the error details do show - I shall have to post them later as I do not have access to the server just now, but am posting this anyway in case anyone else has seen it and has a quick fix!

Hi all,

OK, I have the error details now as shown below. I tried upgrading the site to version 6, and disregrading other unrelated problems that mean I cannot upgrade yet, I did find a portal that worked well enough for me to try the various Manager links from within the Edit Content - the same error.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:

[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]
System.Web.Util.StringUtil.GetStringHashCode(String s) +44
System.Web.UI.ClientScriptManager.EnsureEventValidationFieldLoaded() +318
System.Web.UI.ClientScriptManager.ValidateEvent(String uniqueId, String argument) +74
System.Web.UI.WebControls.HiddenField.LoadPostData(String postDataKey, NameValueCollection postCollection) +62
System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessPostData(NameValueCollection postData, Boolean fBeforeLoad) +542
System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +2652

Please can anyone help - all my portals are essentially crippled for admin now unless you login using the host account!

Thanks in anticipation
Steve

I resolved this problem by uninstalling PageBlaster, after which the problem healed up. I have raised this with John Mitchell.
